From a beginner to a household name.Charly Toz is a breakthrough artiste currently controlling a bigger section of the Migori County showbiz.Mr.Chendorous as he is now known was at our Bonyeza Star offices this afternoon to answer one two many questions regarding his overwhelmingly growing music career.
B.S : We have seen you break a number of codes to earn yourself a place in the competitive music market of South Nyanza.Remind us about your journey.
C.T : I wrote my first song in 2009 way back in Primary school.My peers loved my art hence the source of my motivation to do the song Penye Nia in 2010 . After my 844 I did Dong aeri which was also received well.I however started as a gospel artiste before joining the contemporary secular world of music.
B.S :You were also a member of TYD. Does the group still exist?
C.T : Yes of course I am a co founder of TYD which consisted of Emcees,comedians,dancers,Djs,musicians and the list is endless.Together we did a number of roadshow tours across Nyanza towns.
B.S : Does the TYD still exist?
C.T: That is a story for another day.Am happy all individual members are doing well in their different fields.Lemme say TYD is one of the few great things that ever happened to Migori Showbizness
B.S : Reliable sources link your feud with Triple S to conning.Who conned who?
C.T : Am glad you brought that issue up.For your information I was conned by fellow artiste Tripple-S and still ended up in remand for about 2 weeks.The dude conned me Ksh 30,000 .This is one terrible experience I will never forget.Thank God for protecting me in police custody.
B.S : You were quoted on record claiming you will never forgive him for that.Don't you believe in forgiveness?
C.T: I don't even know why we are still talking about some unapologetic conman.God is my witness,certain things cant just be taken lightly.
B.S : Could that be a threat?
C.T : No comment.
B.S: Enough of that,so tell us about your glory moments in the game.
C.T: Having shared same stage with some of the biggest names in Kenya among them,King Kaka,Willy Paul,Dufla Diligon and many more.
B.S: Locally who else have you worked with?
C.T: Crity RDE,Ting Ting,Rojay C, Jonnyman,Shy Mavako,Lil Chocolate,Siri K,Young Brill,Acemall,Bronze and many others.
