Popular Kisumu hypeman MC Steel should consider changing his name to Mc Canvas after the one-two-many heads,Kicks and blows he received from Migori badboy rapper cum singer Crity Pon Dis .


A fight between the two erupted after an attempt by Emcee Steel to cut short a performance by Charly Toz,one of Migori's most sorted artistes currently.

This did not go down well with Crity who decided to confront the Kisumu emcee to the amazement of  fans and it ended bloody for Steel.

Hearsay has it that Crity and Steel had earlier on confronted each other live on stage in a previous show where fans heckled in favour of Crity.

The event was attended by Kisumu's Chief Moses and Swaleh together with former inmate rapper Tripple S  ,Jonnyman and other Migori bigshots.

Award winning Genge artiste Lang' Katalang' was also present ,however he did not perform.


The event dubbed Migori Festival was going down at the Migori Stardium yesterday night  of Christmas celebrations.Migori Stadium will be hosting yet another event on the 31st night dubbed VUKA MWAKA.

Urban  contemporary Gospel Icon Balozi has finally graduated from University of Nairobi (UON) with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Conservation and Natural Resources Management.


The DONDOKA hitmaker Balozi Tha Icon ,known for his lyrical prowess and outstanding vocal command has made the entertainment Industry proud by achieving academically.

Hardwork and perseverence  sailed him through to beat the odds of a humble background and life struggles.

He has played a critical role with his influence as a responsible youth both in Turkana and around the country being an outspoken and proactive motivational personality.

He has in many occassions challenged the youths to take up active roles and positions in society and rise up from their comfort zones.

 His quest for positive community transformation together with constant Prayer Hardword Work and determination not only put him at a better place as a graduate but also as a good example to his peers.


Balozi's biggest dream is to eventually be able to bless and motivate his followers with his life story.

He joins the short list of Kenyan group of entertainer academias.
His song DONDOKA is a Symo On The Beat production under a TrueKana label.

Bonyeza Star has managed to fish out the sneak peak video  of Kenya's most sorted music group Ethic famed for Lamba Lolo and also pulse music video awards big time winners together with Nigerian producer KrizBeatz working on a new song.Thanks to our paparazzi team.

The group at currently in studio working on their new hit and this time round they have Nigerian KrizBeatz on it. 

 

The two teams  met  at Coke Studio after which Kriz Beatz announced on a later date at a Hot96 interview that he would be collaborating with Ethic.

Later they teamed up at Batoz Music Entertainment which is responsible for  Lamba Lolo projects currently

Chris Alvin Sunday, professionally known as Krizbeatz or Krizbeatz the drummer boy, is a Nigerian record producer best known for producing Tekno Miles's hit single "Pana".

MASENO LECTURER RISKS ARREST AFTER SEXUAL HARRASSMENT CLAIMS SPILL OUT -Bonyeza Star

Grapevine has it that a senior lecture from Maseno University is battling with his conscience after news erupted that he sexually assaulted a female student ,who is currently in agony , during this exam period.

According to reliable sources,the lecturer was going round checking the students examination cards in the examination hall last week when the occurrence took place .

The so said female student had unfortunately carried along her roommates examination card in the middle of a rush and ended up producing it the moment the lecturer reached her seat.

She tried to explain herself but the lecturer insisted this was a grievous mistake punishable according to the University rules and regulations .

Eventually the two arrived at a conclusion that they would deal with the issue after the paper so the elderly man called the young female student to his office where he started molesting her despite protest.

The lecturer became so touchy asking irrelevant sexual questions with vulgar language on whether the lady was a virgin or not.

According to our reliable source the case is lying with the University administration office of the DVC  and the Maseno Police as investigations begin.

Bonyeza Star is currently pursuing recorded   phone call files in which the lecturer admits to the crime and  pleads for his life and career.

The lecturer whose name we are not going to disclose until the University and the police give official statement ,is an man in is late 40's or early 50's .

But what if the matter his hidden under the carpet eventually.Bonyeza Star will be here to disclose it all.

PROFESSOR HAMO LOOK-ALIKE CHARMS MASENO UNIVERSITY AS LAUGHTER OVERDOSE TAKES OVER CAMPUS COMEDY - Bonyeza Star

We leave for Maseno University Main Campus at exactly 4.00pm from Kisumu Town that is. The previous night we had been covering an event . 

Soon as we reach the varsity's main entrance we are eager to see whether the event is going to receive a good audience.

The emptiness of Siriba Highway sends us chills but then we carry on .

We arrive at the venue and to our surprise everyone is seated with a huge hall fully packed  leaving only the pathway to the proscenium stage .

At this point we decide to settle in few minutes after which 1GB takes the stage.

1GB

He proves to be the likable type cracking lines derived from campus life basically but maintaining his salvation aspect of it.He uses his lines skillfully to bring out the amount of frustration comrades go through especially with regard to relationships. He keeps ladies and gentlemen glued to his captivating performance which is blended with a bit of dance .His stage movements,facial expressions and audience captivation technique is way too good. 1GB is another Njugush in the making.Quite accurate with his lines.

SNIPER

After a few performances the ladies man Siyper gets on stage with a powerful introduction. He employs the use of sound effects so well that the crowd cant help laugh all through. His suit costume is just the proper outfit for any comedian who wants to pick up lines by imitating a church pastor .His jokes however are drawn far and beyond campus life.
At one point he gives a flat joke deliberately at first before  emphasizing on it only to send the hall wild again.

Sniper  in two occasions invites supporting characters front stage to ensure his non verbal cues sink in down so well. Lets just say out of 10 jokes,9 were so much on point. This guy is a Tv material.

SIRKAL

Sirkal is the type that will climb upstage and without really being sure of how he looks like ,his voice will tell it all. The super comedian exhausts all his energy on this luo ohangla beats,you might think he understands the lyrics .His dancing skills are just up point from synchrony,to body movements to the mood .His jokes are what experts call back-to-back with one bombshell after the other. This particular discussion about baby shower babies and non baby shower babies brings the show to a standstill before sending everyone in wails .Sirkal has been to numerous stages so he knows how to exploit his signature voice .

BLACKY.

On the other hand the well known  Blacky blends storytelling and punchlines so well that you might mistake him for teardrops and MCA Tricky combined.

Blacky I must admit is a way to intelligent comedian who knows where to put what rhyme and what word as long as the humor is maintained .He is able to hold the audience so captivated and silent for a long period before nailing the joke right on the head. 

VINNIE BAITE

Vincent Mutweri has the most thrilling and calculated stage entry. Unlike the rest of the comedians,he enters from the front door that leads to the hall way and not backstage. He has arranged with the female emcee to announce that the next performer is a surprise guest comedian from the popular Churchill comedy  Show ,Professor Hamo.

Vinnie's regalia does not betray him same to his glasses and huge book with an Afro hairstyle depicting exactly how Professor Hamo looks like.

Even amid slight discontentment from fans ,he his able to hold the show down just the same way Hamo would have done it.His dancing skills are just too good for a man who decided to give his life to comedy. 

At some point he skillfully goes commercial mentioning the so called Mama Farida Hotel numerous times. We ask around and we are told Mama Farida is facing victimization from defamers who want to bring her down maliciously so Vinnie Baite has to save her out of the mess. That's what we call comedy for community development.

BLACKY THE BAND

The trio which brings together Sirkal,Vinnie and Blacky wrap it up with one hell of a translation quagmire enveloped with language barrier from English to Kiswahili.

At some point the joke about Tanzanian Artistes being more creative than Kenyan artistes emerges and that is how Timmy T Dat and Lang' Katalang' turn into laughing stocks at the expense of Wasafi Artistes,Rich Mavoko and  Maua Sama . But that is comedy not real life. 

Whatever way Genge artiste King Lang took the joke about his full stage name being longer than his lyrics only himself knows.

VERDICT
The sound system was good,except for a bit of stage lighting 
Performances from other non comedians were so excellent including the singing and the skit.
I really feel the show was underpaid,next time the entrance fee should scale higher to Ksh200 from Ksh50.

TIMMY DAT SNEAKS OUT OF CLUB LEAVING KSH20,000 DEBT.DJ SHITI BAILS OUT PROMOTER - Bonyeza Star

After bagging over Ksh 150,000 as performance fee  in the just concluded Mr.& Miss Maseno event which went down last Friday night October 19th ,Kenyan showbiz badboy Timmy decided to pull a "pastor  Kanyari" on the event promoters.Its high time we called it conning of the highest order.

The artiste who had been booked to spend the night at Club Triple T Luanda,few meters away from the University decided to drink himself up on a bill going close to Ksh21,000 .

Timmy Dat is said to have sneaked out out of the club after convincing the club that the varsity will be responsible for the bill.

The artiste had on his unsettled bill Black label and a couple of Hennessy drinks .

When the manager finally got impatient it forced the intervention of police to arrest one of the major event organizers of the night.

Bonyeza Star under cover team had a chance to look at the chats between the arrested fellow and a business partner and for sure he was begging for his life.

It forced friends to raise ksh 5,000 with another ksh5,000 raised by popular comedian Dj Shiti who also felt pity for the victim. sooner or later the victim was released from police custody 

According to Club Triple T management there is still an outstanding ksh9,000 areas yet to be paid or else another arrest will follow suit.

However when we tried to get Timmy's side of the story,he denied having spent the night at the club,leave alone wanting to cooperate.

My advice to events organizers planning to work with Timmy in future.Beware of this musicians's bad  behavior.Don not fall victim .

As usual part of our everyday job is to bring you the untold story of what unfolds at every event. This weekend we paraded our ears and gave utmost attention to the Miss and Mr Maseno annual event which went down at the Varsity's GSQ.

Other than campus politicians battling for supremacy and turning the runway affair into a political rally ,you also need to know that judges who were not selected in a procedural way  for the panel were chased like a brukenge despite their skin color,that one mzungu judge can attest to this.

Until a day to the event there were serious wrangles between the retired Mr .Maseno Churchill Okoth and the Director for entertainment Musa Haji. At some point the models refused to take to the runway pending payment issues .

It forced the Deans of students to intervene and by morning at around 9.30 am Steve Odongo "Annex" and Kelly Akinyi were being sworn in together with their Plus size counterpart Cynthia.

THE BIG STORY

In the early hours of Sunday morning one furious dresser/ designer whose name we wont disclose calls one of our resourceful friends who in turn put her on loud speaker just at our tea table. The team is curious to know whats going on after all the entire weekend we haven't gotten a story worth our ears. She claims the newly crowned Mr.Maseno Steve Annex was crowned by a circle of friends,judges and organizers she knows.

Miss Plus Size Cynthia

We are consuming and  digesting her story keenly until a distraction arrives .One anonymous caller is on our office line begging to speak. His name is Judge Mr.X (actual name hidden) .

"You have been called by some lady who is trying to peddle lies about last Friday's event"...am curious so I leave the rest to listen to the lady as I listen to the guy.

Turns out again that this could be a one night stand gone sour for the two.
They just had an argument. But over what ? One person did not act nice to the other or rather fulfill what looked like an end of a bargain.My goodness some ladies can be crafty and smart.


Seems like Mr.Judge X was being lured to bed in order to save the dresser's model and crown her for whatever category that was.

Unfortunately that particular model didn't make it to the top so the dresser felt betrayed by a man she thought she relied on and could be bought with sex.

"Yes we know each other and went as far as lighting a small love affair but that had nothing to do with my professionalism. I gave credit where it was due and a crown as was deserved and so did my colleagues. So by claiming a clique of us crowned Steve Annex out of friendship and favors then she is wrong. Steve did his best and impressed the panel skillfully "

Later am told the dresser mentioned names .Names that were very crucial to the event but when we finally get to know whether she had the intentions of exchanging a crown for sex she hangs up having known she's been caught. 

Lying about a process that was free and fair. Kudos to this judge though. You are a living example of men in suits who do not trade sex for favors. And for ladies who think you can always use what you have to get what you want,too bad.Times have changed.
