After bagging over Ksh 150,000 as performance fee  in the just concluded Mr.& Miss Maseno event which went down last Friday night October 19th ,Kenyan showbiz badboy Timmy decided to pull a "pastor  Kanyari" on the event promoters.Its high time we called it conning of the highest order.

The artiste who had been booked to spend the night at Club Triple T Luanda,few meters away from the University decided to drink himself up on a bill going close to Ksh21,000 .

Timmy Dat is said to have sneaked out out of the club after convincing the club that the varsity will be responsible for the bill.

The artiste had on his unsettled bill Black label and a couple of Hennessy drinks .

When the manager finally got impatient it forced the intervention of police to arrest one of the major event organizers of the night.

Bonyeza Star under cover team had a chance to look at the chats between the arrested fellow and a business partner and for sure he was begging for his life.

It forced friends to raise ksh 5,000 with another ksh5,000 raised by popular comedian Dj Shiti who also felt pity for the victim. sooner or later the victim was released from police custody 

According to Club Triple T management there is still an outstanding ksh9,000 areas yet to be paid or else another arrest will follow suit.

However when we tried to get Timmy's side of the story,he denied having spent the night at the club,leave alone wanting to cooperate.

My advice to events organizers planning to work with Timmy in future.Beware of this musicians's bad  behavior.Don not fall victim .

As usual part of our everyday job is to bring you the untold story of what unfolds at every event. This weekend we paraded our ears and gave utmost attention to the Miss and Mr Maseno annual event which went down at the Varsity's GSQ.

Other than campus politicians battling for supremacy and turning the runway affair into a political rally ,you also need to know that judges who were not selected in a procedural way  for the panel were chased like a brukenge despite their skin color,that one mzungu judge can attest to this.

Until a day to the event there were serious wrangles between the retired Mr .Maseno Churchill Okoth and the Director for entertainment Musa Haji. At some point the models refused to take to the runway pending payment issues .

It forced the Deans of students to intervene and by morning at around 9.30 am Steve Odongo "Annex" and Kelly Akinyi were being sworn in together with their Plus size counterpart Cynthia.

THE BIG STORY

In the early hours of Sunday morning one furious dresser/ designer whose name we wont disclose calls one of our resourceful friends who in turn put her on loud speaker just at our tea table. The team is curious to know whats going on after all the entire weekend we haven't gotten a story worth our ears. She claims the newly crowned Mr.Maseno Steve Annex was crowned by a circle of friends,judges and organizers she knows.

We are consuming and  digesting her story keenly until a distraction arrives .One anonymous caller is on our office line begging to speak. His name is Judge Mr.X (actual name hidden) .

"You have been called by some lady who is trying to peddle lies about last Friday's event"...am curious so I leave the rest to listen to the lady as I listen to the guy.

Turns out again that this could be a one night stand gone sour for the two.
They just had an argument. But over what ? One person did not act nice to the other or rather fulfill what looked like an end of a bargain.My goodness some ladies can be crafty and smart.


Seems like Mr.Judge X was being lured to bed in order to save the dresser's model and crown her for whatever category that was.

Unfortunately that particular model didn't make it to the top so the dresser felt betrayed by a man she thought she relied on and could be bought with sex.

"Yes we know each other and went as far as lighting a small love affair but that had nothing to do with my professionalism. I gave credit where it was due and a crown as was deserved and so did my colleagues. So by claiming a clique of us crowned Steve Annex out of friendship and favors then she is wrong. Steve did his best and impressed the panel skillfully "

Later am told the dresser mentioned names .Names that were very crucial to the event but when we finally get to know whether she had the intentions of exchanging a crown for sex she hangs up having known she's been caught. 

Lying about a process that was free and fair. Kudos to this judge though. You are a living example of men in suits who do not trade sex for favors. And for ladies who think you can always use what you have to get what you want,too bad.Times have changed.

Wait a minute did you know that for the first time in history Mr & Miss Maseno were crowned without their relevant  sash ?

That Crowning was done in the absence of outgoing Miss Maseno? 

Grapevine however has it that the outgoing Mr.Maseno Churchill Okoth ensured models and trainers were paid before stepping on the runway.

At some point things went messy after the fearless Mr Churchill picked up a fight with the Somu President (Mike Odoyo) and Secretary General (Tsuma) together with a former entertainment captain one Timo Stoppa who was thrown out of the bargaining  hall mercilessly.

 That however did not mean local acts were satisfied. Emcees and Djs of the event are yet to be paid including Emcee Jay The Blaze who shouted his heart out whole night only to end up with massive bluticks from organizers.Others like Emcee Justo are still complaining of their remaining chunk of cash after deposit..We are yet to speak to Dj Cobra though.

Save again for boycotts who dared not to perform without pay .Our sources categorically stated that a  rap group and a celebrated genge artiste didn't bother to attend the night event blame it on engagement terms.

 Churchill Okoth however maintained that he will continue to fight for the Maseno art fraternity as the truths unfold.

His Miss Mercy Cheptoo however feared for her life once things got too heated up citing suspension fears through the senate disciplinary if things got out of hand .Fearless Churchill soldiered on promoting Director Haji to go hiding with the sash and gift hampers.

Talk of the longest serving Mr .Maseno who was involved in numerous charity,mentor ship,talent nurturing and environmental conservation activities and there you have him.

 According to our little research based on facts Churchill has proven that legacy can be left through sober and good ideas and in solidarity with comrades despite lack of financial support from the university kitty .Emcee Jay,Justo ,Dj Cobra ,Dj Shiti did a great job. Kudos to Timmy Dat.

Hours after the release of his amazing hit song UMEJAZA ft Lang’ Katalang’ ,local musician Crity of Relevant Deejayz Entertainment opened up to Bonyeza Star about his worst experience one night in k-South Nairobi 3 years ago .

The America height basketball player and singer is escorted into our offices alongside his two dancers. 

He leaves them at the reception and finds a table to the right sipping a cocktail  ,makes himself comfortable as he shows off his neatly retouched dreadlocks ,gives a sarcastic smile then begins to speak. 

One of our staff at first mistakes him for Kristoff just before he introduces himself.

CRITY : Crity hapa habari ya waandishi .

BS : Welcome to Bonyeza Star Crity. First and foremost congratulations on your new music video ,would you mind disclosing the budget that went into this beautiful project.

CRITY : About ksh 62,000 in rough estimate .

BS : Great now back to our point of focus . 3 years ago you were attacked by armed robbers in Nairobi .can you recall the occurrences and how one thing led to the other.

CRITY : I was visiting a friend in K-South .I came to the capital city to shop for a few computers .That fateful night it happened there was no water in the house hence we couldn’t cook so we opted to go grab take aways in Buruburu .Unfortunately by the time we were done there were no direct matatus back to K-South so we opted to walk .

BS: Aha keep talking bro.

CRITY : we walked with zero chills on whether we were being followed or not but as soon as we reached the plot gate from nowhere a gun was drawn and pointed in close range to my friend’s forehead.

BS : Did the gunman pull the trigger?

CRITY : Luckily no, but the unexpected happened .My friend pushed the gunman  ,he fell down  and we ran back .

BS: Good ,what next.

CRITY : Luckily again for my friend he was able to escape  with a different direction but for me it wasn’t my day. I bet it was because I was not so familiar with the area.

BS: Where exactly in K-South was this ?

CRITY : K-South “kwa chief” next to a house that was formerly occupied by one of M.O.G crew members.

BS: How did you know they lived there yet you were new in the area?

CRITY : I occasionally saw them playing guitar from the adjacent plot.

BS: Alright so how did you get stabbed?

CRITY : As I sped off in pursuit ,I fell too and the next minute knives were piercing and tearing into my skin.

BS: I can’t see the scars where are they ?

CRITY : (takes off his shirt) As you can see, both my shoulders were stabbed twice each then the most hurting one went right in at the joint behind the knee. My friend I bled and bled and bled I couldn’t move neither my arms or leg.

BS: How did you escape though ?

CRITY : One last wailing that I made was received by a plot member who screamed too and they ran away leaving me there for dead. Where the little energy came from , I still don’t know,  …opened the gate crawling and crawled upstairs 4^th floor to a neighbor’s house . He wrapped my wounds and called a cab guy. The rest is a nightmare. I found myself at the Mama Lucy Hospital following day .

BS : Thank God you are able to walk normally again . So what’s your next plan after UMEJAZA .

CRITY : I have lots of goof music in store for you ,all we are asking for is your support.
