DIAMOND UNGRATEFULLY SKIPS AFRIMMA ONLY TO END UP LOSING AT THE MAMA AWARDS

DIAMOND PLATNUMZ MISSED AFRIMMA AWARDS INTENTIONALLY : There is no such thing as Diamond Platnumz failing to attend the AFRIMMA because he missed his flight. The African icon had    high  hopes in  the outcome of  his category long before the D-day so it wasn't that important considering MAMA was on the way too. Being nominated with Wizkid in the same category at the MAMA AWARDS though was a clear indication of doom for the Tanzanian Star much as  he couldn’t open his eyes wide enough  to see . This is because of the   mere fact that Wizkid has lately been on top of things .Wizkid’s worldwide tour with Chris Brown and his recent works with Drake are just but a few to mention. MAMA  could be the reason Diamond decided not to board that flight to the AFRIMMA   thinking MAMA had something for him , save for Willy M Tuva’s lame  yap about the artiste missing his flight. He considered AFRIMMA worthless with a category as junior as East African best which he won of course. I mean Diamond is past East Africa according to him  , he was probably scheming for a higher level, the MAMA, where he lost terribly .

Despite being nominated in the African Musik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) 2016, the top singer was nowhere to be seen in the Dallas Texas ceremony.

Diamond Platnumz won the Best Male East Africa category at the AFRIMMAs, though he wasn’t present to receive the trophy.

A lot of speculation has been said about him missing the event but according to Willy M Tuva, the singer was supposed to attend the event but missed his flight to Dallas.ooops !! According to Ghafla He was to travel in the same flight with Tuva.

Diamond Platnumz was also on the list of performances for the AFRIMMA night, and a week ago, he had even put the event as part of his scheduled performances for October which leaves us with  the question of what happened for him to suddenly skip the event  the last minute.

Diamond wasn’t the only artists who missed the flight. His dancers also missed the flight despite the fact that they really wanted to attend the event .Rubbish, anyway we are not talking about dancers here, its was all for the same reason, save us the flight thingies. Diamond wanted to have his usual show off at the MAMA much as all he could get was a platform .Too bad Platnumz maybe an award awaits you next time .

Sauti Sol won  best group award at 2016 MTV MAMA as Wizkid beat Diamond Platinumz

Sauti Sol were the only East African act to win an award at the ceremony which was held in Randburg, South Africa late at night on Saturday 22nd. South African and West African countries were quite dominant at the MAMA though .

The ceremonies were opened by electric performances from the likes of Korede Bello, Casper Nyovest, WCB’S Diamond Platnumz, Patoranking, Ycee, Sarkodie and Yemi Alade among others.

Diamond Platinumz was among the biggest losers as Wizkid dominated bagging two major awards for Male artist of the year 2016 as well as the Artiste of the year 2016.Ooh too bad .

South Africa rap talent Cassper Nyovest  picked  up award for Best Live Act at the show.

 

He edged out Eddy Kenzo (Uganda), Flavour (Nigeria), Mafikizolo (South Africa) and Stonebwoy (Ghana).
Sauti Sol won Best Group beating Mi Casa (South Africa), Navy Kenzo (Tanzania), R2bees (Ghana) and Toofan (Togo).
Yemi Alade won  Best Female edging out her Nigerian counterpart Tiwa Savage, Ghana's Mz Vee, Tanzania's Vanessa Mdee and Josey of Ivory Coast. This makes her the first artist to win the award for Best Female twice (2015 and 2016).
Drake won Best International Act beating Adele, Beyoncé, Future and Rihanna to it.
Tekno beats Falz, Simi, Nasty C others to Best Breakthrough Act award.
Star Boy Wizkid won  Best Male, edging out AKA, Black Coffee, Diamond Platnumz and Patoranking.
He also went  home with African Artist Of The Year beating Yemi Alade, Diamond Platnumz, Black Coffee and Sauti Sol.
The Star singer made it a 'hat-trick' with his DJ Maphorisa 'Soweto baby' feature winning Best Collaboration.
Hugh Masekela, a South African human rights activist, musician and composer won  the  MTV Legend award at MAMA 2016.

Awards AFRIMMA which is presented annually to various Africans who did well in various sectors mainly recreational, presented Dallas Texas United States the other Sunday October 16^th  where on the list all Tanzanians who won it three.

Tanzanians were won by Dj D Ommy of CloudsFM through different show including XXL and an amplifier which has won awards Dj best South , singer Harmonize he won the best artist to sprout Africa in 2016 with Diamond Platnumz he won the best artist of the East African male.

Others who took the prize Kenyans group Sautisol who won the best group of music Africa as the award formerly ikiwaniwa and Radio and Weasel of Uganda, Os Moikanos of Angola, Bracket of Nigeria, Mi Casa South Africa, R2bees of Ghana, Bana C4 of Congo DRC and Miyamoto Band of Tanzania.

Kenyan Akothee nominated artist best female East Africa , formerly awarded inawaniwa and Victoria Kimani of Kenya, Vanessa Mdee and Linah of Tanzania, Aster Aweke and Tsedenia of Ethiopia, Knowles of Rwanda and Sheebah Karungi of Uganda.
