ODM 6 PIECE CAMPAIGN HITS A DEAD END IN SOUTH NYANZA AS OBADO, OBURU,WANGA CONVOY CHASED AND STONED LIKE A BURUKENGE ~ Bonyeza Star

Obado , Wanga , Oburu,

By Mwita . P. Chacha

- Youths from Sibuoche in West Kanyamkago ward ,Uriri constituency Migori County , this past Monday stoned  the ODM Nyanza campaign team led by Raila's elder brother   Oburu Odinga and  Homabay Women
Representative  Gladys  Wanga both  who were accompanied by Migori Governor   Mr.Okoth Obado.

- The Angry youths   chased them away with stones after  trying to preach six piece, hence  forced to run  for their dear  lives.

- It doesn't really call for rocket science to know that Okoth Obado first and foremost is not Welcomed in West Kanyamkago ,his Uriri backyard ,reason being he was the master-craft of the shambolic ODM nomination primaries where the sitting MCA who happens to be a majority's choice lost . Something that did not really go well with
the electorates.

- Okoth Obado is also believed to have engineered the political rift between the sitting Uriri Mp K'Obado and himself prompting the Governor to not only endorse Mark Nyamita for the seat but also finance his campaign which led to KObado's loss ,in a misterious way.

- Sibuoche however happens to be a K'Obado stronghold hence Obado's six piece campaign  in Sibuoche was never going to materialize.

- If anything Oburu and Gladys Wanga disgraced themselves by attending the rally without making prior assesment of the political temperatures there.

- The whole scenario last evening sends a bad signal to the ODM team and the people in general that a good number of the South Nyanza people are not impressed by the way in which ODM Primaries were conducted.

- Unfortunately for the outgoing Migori Governor ,he might end up loosing on a daily basis as Ochilo Ayacko gains.

- The grandmulla of Migori corruption must now change his tactics to win the popular vote or else he risks landing on his political deathbed as early as 1st of August.

- The people of West Kanyamkago and even Migori County as a whole have vowed to vote Raila Odinga for president but are asking the ODM team to stop the unpopular  six piece campaign.

-  This time the people have decided to vote in leaders based on their individual attributes with zero tolerance to meaningless party lectures.

- Reliable sources have reported that Obado's campaign vehicles were towed to a garage using a breakdown land-rover and are yet to be declared unfit for road-worth after the damages incurred.

Ochilo Ayacko

- Opinion polls rate Obado at 46 % with Ochilo's 49 % support promising to climb a few units higher in a few more days.

- Maybe Migori County should start preparing for nothing else but a Ochilo Ayacko Government.

FIVE REASONS WHY MIGORI PEOPLE WILL NEVER FORGET GOVERNOR OKOTH OBADO!

Okoth Obado

1. ECONOMIC SABOTAGE:

The outgoing Governor has singly contributed to the impoverishment of Migori more than any other individual since
independence. Where he found a thriving tobacco sector, he collapsed it by demanding, together with his corrupt deputy Mahanga Mwita, hefty bribes from the tobacco companies operating in the county, which they found untenable and they relocated to friendlier counties like neighboring Narok and Bungoma. This resulted to tobacco farmers in Kuria, Uriri, Suba and Rongo becoming destitute as he did not replace the companies he had chased. Where there were proud, respectable farmers, now there are beggars as crime rises in the villages, The County Assembly of Migori had, in its wisdom, passed a budget totaling to Ksh100 million to be granted to traders and entrepreneurs in Migori as non-interest loans. However, whenever it was time for this money to be disbursed, Obado, through his relatives at the Treasury, blocked its release and pocketed the money through payments to dubious proxy contractors for projects that have never been known or seen. In his economic sabotage, Obado also started a chicken rearing program dubbed "Kuku Ni Pesa", which was touted as his wife's initiative but was in fact fully funded by the County Government of Migori. That the program was managed by his wife, and its assets given out to members of the public as if they were personal donations, sabotaged a funding allocation to cooperatives, which is a fully devolved function, and left other saccos and cooperatives without funding. Therefore, coffee cooperatives at Gitungi, Nyabikindo, Nyabosongo, Mahuntutu, Wangirabose, Sakuri, where tenders
for various projects had been floated and awarded, could not take off as the Governor had diverted the funds to
his wife's pet project. This was in spite of the fact that his wife is not a county government employee and being barely literate, is unqualified for the role she took.

2.. CORRUPTION, PLUNDER OF MIGORI WEALTH.

Okoth Obado has a very misleading demeanor. When one encounters him, they'll be forgiven for thinking
he's the most sincere and harmless man they ever encountered with his shy smile, low voice, deliberate, slow mannerisms and an unwillingness, almost inability, to annoy. But deep inside that calm,
soothing exterior is a man whose corruption and greed knows no limits. His hand is in every tender awarded by the CG of Migori. He must personally approve payment to contractors. Where he is somehow by-passed and a tender awarded without his or his wife's involvement, that contractor will not receive payment until they visit him and pay an advance through his elaborate system of personal assistants, kickback takers and
wheeler-dealers. Obado has also undertaken projects that were not approved by any organ of the CG of Migori, like the town Tv program, which he undertook without approval of the CEC or Assembly. The CEC had approved a Ksh180 million street lighting programne starting from Kakrao to Isebania but when he learnt that Kenya Power had a street lighting programme funded by the World Bank, he diverted the funds to his unauthorized, unapproved Street Tvs, through which he pocketed a cool Ksh200million after inflating the cost and
diverting funds meant for other purposes. The program was overseen by his kickback taker and wheeler-dealer, Jared Kwaga and promptly paid by his blue-eyed Chief Officer for Finance, Samuel Omuga, who has usurped all the powers of the CECM for Finance. Migori town therefore, in spite of bring the county capital, remains a dark, scary place where market women run home to the relative safety of their unlit homes at the first sign of
darkness. In the four years of Obado, the county's towns have stagnated because the lights that could
have helped extend business hours, were turned into cash now being used to buy voter support.

 3. KILLING  EDUCATION.

Devolved education includes polytechnics and Early Childhood Development Education centers. At the onset of
devolution, there were 10 polytechnics in Migori. There were no government ECDEs but there were 53 teachers on government support. The County Assembly, in one of its early progressive decisions, resolved that the CG would ensure there is a polytechnic in each ward and ECDE classes. The Education department was therefore allocated funds to start implementing these decisions. 10 new polytechnics were tendered and awarded, having been scaled down from storeyed structures to single floor units with four laboratory-classrooms and a total of 120 ECDE units were also tendered in the first year. The next year would have seem another 10 polytechnics and more ECDEs built. But the officers planning these developments did not know that Obado was seeing the funds allocated to ministries as personal funds. In October 2014, the governor effected a CEC reshuffle that moved his executives from departments where they weren't helping h
