- The feeling of sorrow in my heart cannot be described in words today following the death of our brother ,patriot,and servant Joseph Ole Nkaissery.

-A few bonds can be compared to those that unite people in physical and emotional excisions . Surely Hon. Nkaissery touched the lives of many as a career soldier where he offered himself to defend his fellow
countrymen.

-He humbled himself to a servant as an MP.Where he served with generosity and humility.He lastly served this nation as an honest dedicated and hardworking CS.

- With this sudden death,I cannot make any assumptions at this early stage but I hope it will not be 'Uchunguzi Unaendelea' escape plan again if my brother Mutahi Ngunyi's suggestions that the CS might have been assassinated , can hold some water  in it.

- I call  upon the Government, The opposition and all Kenyans to unite in this though .

APPOINTMENT OF DR.FRED MATIANGI

Of course death has robbed this nation of a person most needed at this time given that general elections and the national exams are knocking at the door .

-The appointment of Dr. Fred Matiangi as acting CS Interior  is very constitutional but our brother Dr.Fred is preparing for the forthcoming national examinations and thus should be given time to concentrate in this stressing exercise .

- I think the president should have appointed a different person .Let's say from a sister ministry like Defense or anything closer to provincial administration.

- However there's no  otherwise since the appointment has been effected but Dr.Fred should add  more  vigor ,stamina and effort to handle the two sensitive dockets.

- Kenyans are however again  left asking many questions as to whether Matiangi's appointment was well calculated .

-What is so unique about this man Fred Matiangi and what role is he going to play in the General elections in a few days??

- Now that we trust Dr. Matiangi with our education system,can we also trust him with our election being that security is a crucial docket and very relevant to elections.

UHURU'S MESSAGE TO KENYANS AFTER THE DEATH OF NKAISSERY

"I take this opportunity to offer my personal condolences to his family, wife & children in particular, to his friends and the Maa community. Today is a sad day for Kenya and all our people. We have lost a Gallant Officer. An Officer who has for the most part of his life served with total dedication and love for his country," Mr Kenyatta said before announcing the appointment of CS Matiang'i.

RAILA'S MESSAGE TO KENYANS AFTER THE DEATH OF NKAISSERY

 "This is, of course, a critical time in terms of security dockets and I have seen that Matiang'i has been appointed. What has shocked me is that before they sent messages of condolence the first action was to appoint somebody in an acting capacity. That is doing things upside down. But well Jubilee is the Government they can appoint whoever they want in the docket," Odinga said during a press briefing

 Joseph Ole Nkaissery (28 November 1949 – 8 July 2017) was a Kenyan politician. He was Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of kenya from 2002 to 2014, when he resigned to take up a cabinet position as Secretary for Internal Security and Coordination of National Government. He was also a Senior elder of the Maasai community until his sudden death on 8 July 2017
