- The Trend is no more. The popular show has left many wondering as to whether outgoing host Larry Madowo will find a competitive host after his exit.

- Seemingly it wasn't business as usual at the show after 10/10 emerged threatening to grab all corporate sponsors to its feet.

- We all know where Larry's troubles began. As usual endorsers and advertisers pull out and join a winning team where there is more clout and hype like that of 10/10 .

- In short Larry Madowo finds The Trend not as paying as it used to due to shift in attention to Citizen Tv on Friday nights.

- The trend which began years ago is a popular show on NTV that airs every Friday night and has been a haven for music, art, food and fashion lovers.

- The show has been under competition from Citizen TV's 10/10  true to say ,which is hosted by Willis Raburu and Joey Muthengi.

 -10/10 However  assumed a different approach by having a live audience for all its shows rendering The Trend irrelevant.



- According to Larry Madowo  ."If you look at Friday night TV in Kenya now, everybody is trying to do what I have done. They are copying The Trend. I can’t compete with my students anymore. People are tying to be me and I can’t do this anymore," he said in a video. He added that Kenya’s TV idea of innovation is "monkey see, monkey do" adding that he will try do something else so that others can copy.

- Just months ago 10/10 received the shocker of it's life when Ezekiel Mutua, Director Film and Classification Board  threatened to pull the Citizen Tv show down claiming , "Of even greater concern is the fact that some artists and performers who call themselves Christians feature in this show. We are losing it as a society and it will take a
great measure of responsibility on all of us to restore sanity in our nation," .

- This would have been a glory moment for the insecure Larry Madowo but turns out he has no other reason left to continue with The Trend Show as a host since 10/10 is here to stay .

- Larry Madowo will go down in history though as a successful showbiz maestro  having hosted the creme Del a creme of the East and African celebrity circle.

- Considering the fact that he calls Willis Raburu a student of his own making ,sounds like a scapegoat to ensure he doesn't leave without a fight.
